The Knightsbridge Metalclad 13A Socket Outlet range combines robust construction with practical options for commercial, industrial, workshop and garage applications. Manufactured with a durable powder-coated steel finish, these heavy-duty sockets are designed for locations where conventional plastic accessories could be more susceptible to damage.
The range includes 1 gang and 2 gang sockets, with switched and unswitched configurations allowing installers to select the appropriate accessory for each application. Switched models feature double pole switching, while selected 2 gang sockets incorporate twin earth terminals for additional installation flexibility. A 30mA passive Type A RCD socket with outboard rockers is also available for applications requiring additional RCD protection.
Knightsbridge Metalclad sockets are supplied complete with surface mounting back boxes featuring multiple 20mm knockouts, providing a convenient solution for surface-mounted installations. With angled captive terminals, high-temperature-resistant thermoset apertures and compliance with BS 1363-2 on standard socket models, the range combines installer-friendly features with the rugged construction expected from Knightsbridge Metalclad wiring accessories.
