Digital Multimeters
Digital multimeters are indispensable tools for testing, diagnosing, and troubleshooting electrical circuits and devices.
Generally used for measuring AC/DC voltage, current and resistance levels. Advanced multimeters are brimming with advanced features such as autoranging, MAX/MIN measurements and temperature / capacitance testing.
Many multimeters include continuity and diode test functions with an audible alarm for enhanced user experience.
Using either internal data storage or a data hold mode it is possible to either permanently store test data (and download it later to PC using various connections) or hold data on screen temporarily while it is jotted down or shown to someone else.
Test leads are flexible, insulated wires (red for positive, black for negative) that plug into the multimeter. The probe tips on each lead are used for testing circuits.
