D-Line SAFE-D40 Description

The D-Line SAFE-D40 is a passivated coated steel 18th edition fire-rated U-clip for supporting cables when installed direct-to-surface or in non-metallic trunking systems. Fully certified to satisfy legislative requirements to secure all surface cables in escape routes for all non-domestic installations.

The 31mm wide side tabs make this clip suitable for 32mm - 40mm PVC trunking bases but it can be used as a bare cable clip, fixed with a fireproof screw to a wall through a 5.7mm diameter hole. Ideal for 2 x 2.5mm Twin & Earth, 2 x 1.5mm 2-core FP cables

After securing the Safe-D Clips, ideally at 300mm intervals for horizontal installations, or 400mm for vertical, installers simply fold over the thumb-friendly tabs to hold the cables. The combination of the pliable gauge steel & rounded corner features makes U-Clips quick & easy to install.

Prevent cables dropping on escape routes allowing time to evacuate densely populated buildings. Fully tested as capable of supporting cables in temperatures of 970°C for 2 hours.
