Aico EI600 Interlinked Smoke & Heat Alarms - Battery

Internet Electrical stocks the Ei600 Series by Aico, which now includes an intelligent range of battery-powered multi sensor, heat and optical smoke alarms
Battery powered wireless multi-sensor fire alarms that contain two proven, reliable optical and heat sensors. The intelligent alarm software actively monitors both sensors, allowing them to seamlessly work together to provide total fire coverage.
The RF models are fitted with a RadioLINK+™ Module. This will allow the alarm to be interconnected to other RadioLINK+™ Alarms and Devices. Up to 12 Alarms and Devices can be interconnected. An interconnected system will enhance early detection and warning of fire.
The Ei600 series of battery powered smoke and heat alarms are ideal for properties where the installation of mains powered alarms would cause unnecessary mess and disruption.

Key features of the Aico EI600 sensors placement

The Aico EI600 series of smoke and heat alarms are designed for installation in places where a fire is most likely to occur. This is, first of all, the living room and kitchen. Also, a smoke detector should be installed in the bedroom and any other room for an effective and quick response to danger.

Any smoke alarm, such as the Aico EI650RF, only triggers if there is enough smoke entering it, so to operate effectively it must be located a maximum of 7,5 metres from potential fire. In addition to this, it must be located in such a way that it can be heard anywhere in the room. It is recommended to use a set of interconnected sensors.

The heat alarm (Aico EI630RF/EI603RF) is triggered when the temperature at the sensor reaches 58°C. It is suitable for rooms where, due to excessive smoke or dust, false alarms of smoke detectors are possible. This could be a kitchen, garage, workshop, etc. The most effective solution would be to install a set of sensors connected in a chain.

In houses with more than one floor, fire alarms must be installed on each floor. All Alarms should be interconnected wired or wirelessly, using radio frequency. The Aico Ei600 series includes models for wireless connection, these are EI630RF/EI603RF Heat Alarm, EI650RF Smoke Alarm and EI660iRF Multi-Sensor Dual Optical & Heat Alarm.

In a single-story building, the first smoke detector should be installed in a hallway in such a way that it can be heard from both the bedroom and the living room.
