Wago Connectors 221-413 Description
The Wago 221-413 compact lever operated connectors with CAGE CLAMP connects three stripped, fine-stranded conductors from 0.14 to 4 mm², as well as solid or stranded conductors from 0.2 to 4 mm² (24–12 AWG) – without tools!
WAGO's 221-Series tool free lever operated connectors for electrical installations allow solid, stranded and fine-stranded wires to be connected faster and more reliably. The operating levers can now be opened and closed using noticeably less force. Lateral hollowed-out grips provide a firm hold on the 221 Series connectors in any situation. Installation is made much easier, while providing additional freedom for future expansions.
Due to their extremely compact dimensions, they are ideal for space-restricted applications, minimising the amount of space used in junction boxes. Dimensionally 40% smaller than the well-established 222-Series.
The transparent housing allows you to clearly see see if the wires are connected properly and stripped to the correct length. Furthermore, two easily accessible test ports, one in the wire entry direction and one opposite this, provide easy test conditions, even when installed.
Ratings up to 32A/ 450V and 105°C maximum continuous operating temperature allow the 221-Series Lever Operated Connectors to be used at ambient temperatures up to 85°C, making them ideal for small and large loads.
Approved by ENEC and UL allowing them to be used in worldwide applications.

How they work:
Pull up an orange lever to open the clamping unit. Then insert the conductor and push the lever back down, flush with the connector housing.
Safety:
The lever’s specially designed rest position reliably prevents accidental unclamping of a connected conductor.
Application safety, for any type of conductor (solid, stranded, fine-stranded), is confirmed by approvals like ENEC or UL.
