6181Y Double Insulated Meter Tails
6181Y is a BASEC approved double insulated PVC single core cable available with blue and brown cores that is suitable for fixed surface wiring installations in dry or damp areas for connection to consumer units and switchfuses in domestic and light industrial wiring. Voltage rating of 300/500V.
Commonly referred to as double insulated cables, "Meter Tails" cables, or "Smart Meter" cables, these cables can be installed in conduit, in cable trunking and in cable ducting. Or where there is deemed little risk of mechanical damage these cables can be clipped direct, on cable tray, embedded or in free air. These cables are not intended to be laid underground.
Construction: Plain annealed copper conductor, PVC insulated and PVC sheathed.

Conductor: 1.0 - 2.5mm² Class 1 solid copper conductor to BS EN 60228:2005 (previously BS6360)
Conductor: 4.0 - 25mm²Class 2 stranded copper conductor to BS EN 60228:2005 (previously BS6360)

Voltage Rating: 300/500 Volts for conductors up to 35mm²
