6242B LSZH Twin & Earth Cable  

Domestic 6242B LSF Twin & Earth wiring cable is designed to be used in installations where smoke and acid gas emission would pose a major hazard in the event of a fire. The XLPE sheath produces lower levels of smoke and corrosive gases under fire conditions.

Used in light industrial and domestic wiring fixed installations in dry or damp premises when an earth continuity conductor is required. These cables can be installed in conduit, in cable trunking and in cable ducting. Or where there is deemed little risk of mechanical damage these cables can be clipped direct, on cable tray, embedded or in free air. These cables are not intended to be laid underground.

Construction: Plain annealed copper conductor, Thermosetting insulated two colour coded cores laid flat with an uninsulated circuit protective conductor CPC and LSZH sheathed.

Conductor: 1.0 - 2.5mm² - Class 1 solid copper conductor to BS EN 60228:2005 (previously BS6360)
Conductor: 4.0 - 10mm² Class 2 stranded copper conductor to BS EN 60228:2005 (previously BS6360)
Insulation : Insulation: XLPE (Cross-linked Polyethylene)
Standard Colours: Core - Blue and Brown / Sheath White
Voltage Rating: 300/500 Volts
Temperature Rating: Operating Temperature: -25°C to 90°C.
