BG Electrical Metalclad 13A Sockets
BG Electrical’s Metalclad 13A sockets are built from rugged, scratch-resistant steel with a tough epoxy powder-coated finish to withstand knocks and abrasion in busy commercial or industrial spaces. Available in single- and double-gang formats, both switched and unswitched options support standard UK 13 A connections compliant with BS 1363 wiring requirements. Each unit is supplied with a multiple-knockout metal back box for flexible routing of conduit and cabling, helping save time on site. Angled in-line terminals with colour-coded captive screws make installation quicker and reduce the risk of misplaced fixings. Twin earth terminals are included as standard, supporting high-integrity circuits in installations where safety and continuity are essential. Some variants include integrated RCD protection for enhanced electrical safety in environments where fault current protection is recommended.
