The Aico EI146E mains standalone optical smoke alarm delivers outstanding functionality in a modern, slim casing to blend seamlessly with contemporary interiors. With its mains powered operation, the EI146E optical smoke alarm can effortlessly detect smouldering, slow fires that are typically caused by electrical or sofa fires. When sufficient smoke enters the arm, the fire warning is sounded, alerting the property’s occupants.
The Aico EI146E smoke alarm provides a sealed mesh to guard against insects as well as automatic compensation for dust. It also boasts an optical proven smoke chamber that ensures advanced fire detection while reducing any unwanted tripping. As this smoke chamber will automatically self-test every forty seconds, it gives warning in advance about any unit degradation.
The Aico EI146E alarm is fitted with an alkaline 9V replaceable battery back-up which can last as long as four years when in the standby mode. This 9V battery can power the fire alarm for as long as two years without requiring any power from the mains.
It is possible to interconnect the EI146E alarm with other accessories and alarms via a hard-wired connection or, to minimise disruption and mess, by a wireless RadioLINK interconnection. The EI146E optical smoke alarm is also compatible via wireless interconnection with the RadioLINK Ei168RC Base.
Thanks to the Easi-Fit base, which is supplied with this alarm, it can be quickly and easily installed. This base connects automatically both battery and mains power when the alarm is slid on.
